Fall

It’s official: today is the first day of fall. Time to phase out the shorts, tank tops and sandals, and switch to sweaters, pants, scarves and gloves. Even though the warm weather is fading away, I really like the cooler weather that comes with fall. Don’t get me wrong. I love the summer and all the glorious sunshine, but there’s something about the fall that’s much more appealing to me. I guess I find fall to be a cozier season. It’s the warm colors, soft fabrics, hot drinks and heartier foods.

When it comes to fall fashion, though, I’m a sucker for cashmere. And really, who wouldn’t like how soft the stuff is?? It’s glorious, absolutely glorious. It doesn’t get too cold in the South, but every once in a while there will be a chillier day (“chillier” is a relative term) and on those days I dig out my cashmere, go outside and enjoy a big mug of hot apple cider.
